The first edition of the show will be held from 16-18 December 2011 in Mumbai. KPMG in their last report confirmed that the jewellery industry is on the upswing. The study further predicts a dramatic change in the market shares by 2015, where the market share of the United States might get dropped to around 25%, and China and India may increase theirs to over 13%.

Experts say that during recession the industry only slowed down and did not actually go negative even at the height of the global recession, proving to be one of the few resilient industries that withstood the economic turbulence that hit the world over.

Jewelry exporters further confirm that retail shops in the United Kingdom and the United States have been expanding their fine jewelry sales, further boosting over-all sales.
